Limited Summer Cold Brew Packages
- This tea is packaged in a limited summer edition package from early June to late August. The limited package is a special design featuring cold brew recipes on the back. The tea inside is the same as the item that is available year-round.
Once supply runs out of the summer edition package, we will switch back to the regular package for this item.
How does it taste?

When talking about memories while looking over photos and letters from long ago.
What to enjoy it with?
Slightly salty crackers and other assorted dry snacks.
How do Ippodo staff enjoy it?
Make multiple teapots reusing the same tea leaves, preparing each pot with water cool enough to touch. When there is nothing left but the tea’s colour, pour on boiling water and enjoy one final, refreshing pot.

Basic Gyokuro
- 10g
- 80ml
- 60℃
- 90 sec.
1 Use 10g of leaves (2 tablespoons)
2 Add 80ml of hot water (60°C)
3 Serve 90 seconds after beginning to pour the hot water.
The concentrated umami can feel as though it had been squeezed out of freshly-picked tea leaves. To get all the umami, make sure to cool the water sufficiently after boiling.
Cold-brewed Gyokuro
- 10g
- 210ml
- chilled water
- 15 min.
1. Use 10g of leaves (2 tablespoons)
2. Add 210ml of chilled water
3. Leave to brew for 15 minutes
Wait in anticipation while the full deliciousness seeps out, then enjoy the ultimate taste.

Great green tea. I enjoy it warm and especially cold brewed. when cold brewed it has a more fresh vegetal flavor and has a thicker feel.

Kanro definitely becoming one of my favourite gyokuro! It’s Fragrantly beautiful and I really enjoy its rich aroma and the Taste even after steeping the same leaves for 3 times and more! Even I have never been to Kyoto before but I believe Kanro Has the vibes of Kyoto Surely ,the beautiful feeling and the taste each time I Enjoy Kanro is the feeling that I will get when I go to Kyoto in the near future .
