The perfect Japanese sweet for celebrating New Year, combining a soft, white Hanabiramochi (flower petal mochi) wrapping with a filling of sweet boiled burdock and white miso bean paste. Best enjoyed with a cup of fragrant, mellow Tatsu-mukashi, our Year of the Dragon matcha.

Sift 2g of matcha powder.
Pour on water at 80°C, and whisk for 15 sec.
Pour into favourite cup

The importance of sifting matcha
Static electricity causes clumps to form in the matcha. Since these clumps remain even when hot water is poured on them, we recommend first sifting the matcha with a tea strainer to ensure a smoother and even more agreeable taste.
