Two new organic tea releases
Today two new organic teas are available on our Online Shop, Organic Gyokuro, and Premium Organic Matcha.
Both have richness and depth of flavour, and they each hold up to Ippodo standards of quality.
Note that these two teas are special order items, and they take longer to ship than usual.
Premium Organic Matcha
This premium grade organic matcha blend has pleasant bitterness and astringency offset by undertones of sweetness and umami. It has a balanced profile remarkable for an organic matcha release.
We recommend using this matcha in regular usucha and koicha recipes. Its pleasant bitterness will also be well balanced in a matcha latte.
Organic Gyokuro
Organic Gyokuro features a soft, blossoming umami taste, mellow sweetness, and a medium-rich character. Its fragrance is savoury-sweet and warm like an ocean breeze.
Gyokuro fans will enjoy it in their regular focused gyokuro sessions. For beginners to gyokuro, prepare to be surprised by the remarkable savoury-sweet taste of umami that it has.
