Ippodo lovingly makes this black tea from tea leaves mainly from Kyoto Prefecture. It is a second harvest tea from sencha green tea fields.
Produced from Japanese green tea cultivars, this black tea has some similarities to a green tea in its roundness, freshness, and bright fragrance. It’s an elegant, brilliant black tea that stands out in our offering.

How does it taste?

The tea has a mild taste, with only slight sharpness. It possesses a fruity fragrance reminiscent of apples, and subtle, lingering sweetness not unlike candy floss. It tastes great prepared straight.
