One-Pot Teabag Mugicha Extra-Large Can

What do you like about it?

I chose this to encourage them to relax on a daily basis. Teabags are hassle free. Mugicha has no caffeine and tastes great when served hot, so they can drink it with their neighbours and small children, too. I live far away, but I hope they'll come to love the adorable can with the illustration of a dog on it and remember me when they use it.

How do you prepare it?

Firstly, I take a break and sip mugicha when it's freshly prepared and hot. Then, once I've savoured its wonderful aroma and sweet flavour that washes over the palette, I put it in the refrigerator. I enjoy drinking ice-cold mugicha with meals. On hot days, I cold brew mugicha, and enjoy its mild sweetness and refreshing flavour.

What’s your regular brand?

Kumpu 80g Bag

What do you like about it?

I chose a Japanese tea that I wanted to give my grandparents together with the wagashi sweets from Kyoto that they like. Having a flavour with depth and abundant lingering tones, Kumpu also makes an elegant match for sweet confections. I want them to enjoy savouring this sencha along with the wagashi.

How do you prepare it?

To begin with, I recommend preparing Kumpu with boiled water that has been sufficiently cooled, which brings out the umami flavour, and savouring that. Once you’ve enjoyed that with some sweets, I recommend preparing a second pot with hotter water using the same tea leaves. That will taste refreshing and cleanse the palette.

What’s your regular brand?

Tekiro 50g Bag

What do you like about it?

I want them to discover and savour Japanese tea that they don't usually drink. Even though it is gyokuro, Tekiro can be prepared quickly with boiling hot water, and is great to drink on any occasion. This is the tea I recommend the most!

How do you prepare it?

Gyokuro is usually prepared with boiled water that has been cooled slightly, which produces a sweeter flavour, but I recommend that Tekiro be prepared quickly with boiling hot water. It has a wonderful fragrance and sweet flavour, and leaves you feeling refreshed.
