Public relations
I liaise with the shops selling Ippodo Tea.

Which brand do you drink along with alcoholic drinks?

One-Pot Teabag Mugicha (Barley Tea)

What do you like about it?

When I drink at home, it’s almost always red wine. I love the wine, but sometimes the tannin can seem a bit strong. Rather than a sencha or yanagi with a distinctive tannin component, I choose mugicha to go with wine because it’s slightly sweet and you can drink as much as you like.

How do you prepare it?

I use One-Pot Teabag Mugicha and always prepare it with cold water, even in winter. Using hot water makes the taste slightly harsher, but cold water brings out the sweetness of the barley and the mellowness that I like. And when I want a hot tea, I can easily microwave it!

Public relations
I do a lot of liaison between people inside and outside Ippodo.

Which brand do you drink along with alcoholic drinks?

Iribancha (Kyobancha)

What do you like about it?

Alcohol tends to dry you out, so it’s important to keep well hydrated. Iribancha is low on caffein, and it’s a great source of water.

How do you prepare it?

I make a lot at once, and drink it at room temperature in a glass.
