Umeboshi with Hojicha
It’s the time of year when the climate starts to become humid. When you begin to feel worn down, a great pick-me-up is umeboshi—pickled ume plums. They have just the right amount of sourness to perk you up and make you feel mentally and physically refreshed. Umeboshi are great as a non-sweet snack for breaktimes, and go well with hojicha, which possesses a wonderfully rich aroma.
