Now Available: Special Autumn Matcha, Tsukikage

Tsukikage is a special matcha only available in autumn. This year, it goes on sale throughout Japan on October 1. With just the right balance of sweetness and sharpness, Tsukikage has a delicious, refreshing taste. Whether you have it as hot matcha in the cool morning or during teatime in the early afternoon, it’s just the right thing to enjoy during a short break. It also goes well with sweet Japanese or Western confections. Savour it with delicious autumn sweets like sweet potato, chestnuts, and pumpkin.


The new design reflects the changing colours of autumn

It’s a wonderful feeling when, despite the linger heat of the day, a cool breeze suddenly blows as the evening comes earlier and earlier, and you realize that autumn has arrived. The moon shines so brightly in the clear night skies of autumn. The new Tsukikage package depicts the gradations in moonlight in the changing autumn sky. The new tea buds are depicted sparkling in the moonlight, rendered in silver-coloured foil to convey a three-dimensional feel, and add a festive air.

How to prepare: Three servings of matcha

Matcha:6g(2g per serving)Amount / Temp. of water: 180ml (60ml per serving) / 80℃

Matcha: 3g. Amount / Temp. of water: 90ml / 80℃. Milk: 90ml

Autumn brings cooler mornings and evenings. At this time of year, hot matcha latte is just the right thing for short breaks in the morning or afternoon. Mix slightly warmed milk or soy milk with matcha prepared on the thick side. Use equal amounts of matcha and milk or soy milk, or adjust accordingly to match your preference.
