One-Pot Teabag Iribancha 18 bags

How do you enjoy it?

When the kids come in from the cold, the first thing I do is boil water and prepare iribancha. Once they have washed their hands and sat down, the iribancha is waiting for them at just the right temperature. We all enjoy a little break together, blowing on our hot tea as we relax.
Iribancha is low in caffeine, so it’s OK for the kids to drink it in the evening. We serve it to them cooled down a little with a couple of ice cubes after they get out of the bath. Once they’ve rehydrated, it’s bedtime. That’s the daily routine in our home.

How do you prepare it?

Place a One-Pot Teabag in the teapot and pour on boiling hot water. Ippodo’s Glass Teapot enables you to clearly see the colour of the tea, allowing you to remove the teabag when it turns the desired colour, and enjoy your tea the way you like it.

How do you enjoy it?

The top-ranking situations in which Japanese tea plays a key role in our home:
1. When using it to fill flasks for our primary school children
2. When enjoying it with dinner in the evening
3. When enjoying it with snacks on our days off

How do you prepare it?

In our home, I make a large batch of Japanese tea for family members to enjoy however they prefer. When making a large batch of tea, I recommend mixing several infusions together, keeping the same leaves. As each potful is ready, I add it to the others in a larger teapot. It generally takes one to two topups to fill the larger pot.

Preparing the children’s flasks:
Our kids like their tea cold, so I begin by putting plenty of ice in their flasks. Before sending them off, I pour on tea from the larger teapot I prepared earlier.

Tea with meals:
My husband and children like their drinks cold. Even during winter, I cool their mealtime tea down by pouring it into cups filled with ice.

Tea with afternoon snacks:
I like my tea hot, so when we have tea with snacks, I pour it directly into the teacups.

Sayaka-no-mukashi 40g Can

How do you enjoy it?

After dinner, we sometimes have a special dessert, and we really look forward to it. In our home, we have matcha whenever we get seasonal Japanese wagashi sweets like kashiwa mochi, minazuki, and sakura mochi. Even the children get excited and enjoy the process of preparing the sweets and sifting the matcha powder. With just the right amount of sweetness and smoothness, Sayaka-no-mukashi never fails to deliver a delicious taste, regardless of when you enjoy it. Everyone really loves it when we serve matcha, whether it’s just for the family, or at times like the New Year’s holidays when relatives get together to celebrate.

How do you prepare it?

Choosing your tea bowl or cup is part of the fun. When it’s just the immediate family, everyone uses their own favourite tea bowl for preparing and drinking matcha. But the Tea Bowl with Serving Spout comes in very handy when entertaining visiting relatives and other guests. It enables you to prepare a lot of matcha at once, and then pour it out and serve it right away, without leaving anyone waiting.
